Why I'm writing again
A short note on starting this site, and what I plan to put here.
I used to keep a personal site on WordPress. It got heavy, I stopped tending it, and eventually it became one of those tabs you mean to fix and never do. So I tore it down and rebuilt from scratch — plain Jekyll, hosted on GitHub Pages, pointed at my own domain. No plugins I don’t understand, no dashboard, no upsells. Just text files I control.
This is the first post, mostly to prove the pipeline works. But here’s what I actually intend to do with this space.
What this is for
I’m building Happyglow — a physician-guided telemedicine platform — and the entire thesis of the brand is that honest clinical education beats hype. It feels right to hold myself to the same standard in public. So expect:
- Notes on what I’m learning about medicine, the body, and why so much health marketing is quietly dishonest.
- The real mechanics of building a bootstrapped company with no funding and no plan to sell.
- Whatever I’m reading — tracked over on the bookshelf.
The only rule
Write the way I’d want it explained to me: clearly, without dumbing it down, and honest about the tradeoffs. If a post doesn’t pass that bar, it doesn’t go up.
That’s the whole plan. The compounding starts now.
